HOW IT WORKS: This is a new way that we are marketing and selling property: real, personal and intellectual. We have interviewed our sellers and know that they are motivated and capable of completing the transaction quickly. We have a bid deadline for this auction of Monday, February 24th, 2014 by 5 PM. All bidders are invited to simultaneously submit sealed bids to a special email address set up for this purpose: KTSilkFlowersBids@AmyMartinAuctioneer.com. After the bid deadline has passed, anyone who has submitted a bid will be contacted and will be able to analyze their position and resubmit their bid if they would like. The bidding process will continue until no one will bid anymore.  The bidding should close within 48 hours after the bid deadline.

STEPS:    Download a Letter of Intent, fill it out and send it by email to KTSilkFlowersBids@AmyMartinAuctioneer.com or fax it to: 770-980-9383

You can also REGISTER:

By registering, Amy Martin Auctions will contact you and start the process. We will talk you through the details of the business being sold and the bidding process.

DUE DILLIGENCE: We highly recommend that you go and walk the property, preview the inventory, and talk to the current owners before making a bid. We will be happy to meet you at the business location and walk it with you if it would be helpful. Any questions you have can be addressed.

LETTER OF INTENT: We have a sample letter of intent that you can view or download on this page. This is our suggestion. However, you can use your own Letter of Intent or we can help you create one. This letter of intent will outline the terms of your offer and the conditions of the closing.

PROOF OF FUNDS: Please include proof of funds with your letter of intent. This can be a current bank statement (please black out all account numbers), a letter from your bank, or a telephone conversation with your banker.

CONFIRMATION: Our goal is to sell it as high as we can and yours is to buy it as cheap as you can. This is a very fair process. Once the bidding process stops, which will be within 48 hours after the bid deadline, we will work with the seller to confirm the bid.

BUYER’S PREMIUM: There is a 10% Buyer’s Premium added to the high bid of this auction.

LEASE EXTENSION: Please note that any negotiations regarding lease extension must be addressed with the landlord.

EARLY BIDS: Anyone can bid on this property at anytime.  The property can sell before the deadline if an acceptable offer is submitted early.

Amy Martin, Champion!

Amy Receives Top Honors!

Congratulations to Amy Martin for taking 1st place in the Annual Big Peach Classic Bid Calling Contest – Georgia State competition. She faced stiff competition from  auctioneers all over the state. Amy has been perfecting her bid-calling chant for 17+ years now and has competed and placed in competitions at both the state and national levels. This year we are so proud that she took home top honors! Way to go!

Big Peach Classic Bid Calling Contest

The Georgia Auctioneers Association’s Winter Conference is at Lake Blackshear Resort in Cordele, Georgia beginning January 17th thru January 20, 2014. The festivities will begin with a live community auction, in conjunction with the annual Big Peach Classic Bid Calling Contest followed by GAA Golf outing, several days of speakers, education and member activities.

Online-Only Auctions

Buyers and Sellers alike have embraced the online auction.

At Amy Martin Auctions, we may recommend the online auction method because it is often the best solution for both our Sellers and Buyers, and the Atlanta buying public has been extremely responsive.

On the seller’s side:

  • Through our strategic marketing via internet, print, email and telephone, we are able to reach the largest audience of potential bidders at the lowest cost which is a great up-front cost savings to the seller.
  • Another benefit to the seller is that, often, we do not have to move or transport items for sale and can conduct the auction on-site which is more efficient in time and expense.
  • Logistically, we are able to schedule previews over several hours and we can schedule pickup by appointment only to facilitate the smooth flow of people. Crowd control is easy and efficient with the online method.

Getting the Word Out.

  • We know exactly how many people have clicked through to our emails, how many views the auction page receives, how many registered bidders there are days before the auction is scheduled to end.
  • We have more certainty that we have brought the buying public to the auction which means we achieve the highest probability that your items will bring market price or better.

Amy Martin Auctions wants to help you sell your assets today. Call us at (404) 734-3606 to learn more about how we can serve you with an online or conventional auction. We look forward to working with you!

On the buyer’s side:

You can bid anytime of the day or night from anywhere including your mobile device. You have plenty of time to research the items of interest and you can still view them in person during our previews (unlike eBay or Etsy, for example). Once you have taken an inventory of your purchases, you can decide how big a truck you need for pick up!

Auction prices.

As with any auction, you decide exactly how much you are willing to pay and can even set a maximum bid amount and the system will bid for you incrementally if there are other bidders interested in the same item.

Auction Feeling.

Unlike eBay, with our online auction platform there is no “sniping” where another buyer can program software to bid higher than you at the last second. With our platform, a new high bid will extend the bidding time for another minute or 2 so you don’t lose out on desired items.

Evening of Spectacles Raises $240,000

Amy Martin and George Franco were the auctioneers and masters of ceremony for the Evening of Spectacles held at the Buckhead Theatre this year on April 27, 2013 sponsored by the Georgia Lighthouse Lion’s Club. This spectacular event raised $240,000 for an organization that is able  to provide $5 worth of eyeglasses, eye surgeries and hearing aids to Georgians in financial need for every $1 raised.

The Evening of Spectacles is a benefit event that, in addition to a live and silent auction, includes a  fashion show in which students across Georgia, from Atlanta to Savannah, created clothing from used eyeglasses. The winner of the fashion show was presented with a $1000 check form McGee Eyegroup.
